INDEX about myself is below it (this page will be redesigned soon)Fallacy behind AYN Rand "Individualism/Capitalism" vs. the American Constitution
2012 Republican Presidency look like? Just look at Gov Scott Waker or Gov Rick Scott..or any other Republican Governance ...this is how it would be..Corporatism and screw America! obsession with being pro-business at the expense of the rest of us
To me Freedom is very important but so is Social Justice...then Free Market, Budget Accounting etc secondary...that is to me our Government's primary purpose is to Ensure Domestic Tranquility and Promote (enhance) the common wealfare and then worry about efficient managment..Goverment cannot be run as a business..
Our Founding Fathers created our Government within the concept and theory of balance. Balancing Power, balancing opportunities, maintaining the sacredness of individual rights balanced equally among all so that no one can infringe upon the rights of others, again a balanced concept.
I oppose extremism of any kind but I am always biased towards the less powerful. Totally opposed to the Ayn Rand's view of the "Virtue of Selfishness" and the idea that the natural estate of an individual is to seek for his survival and growth on top of everything else. I instead believe in the Christian ethic of loving thy neighbor as top priority over the ego. In opposing extremism, I oppose extreme Captialism as well as extreme Communism or Socialism. I have had family members killed by the Cuban communist regime, which I have opposed and fought against when younger. However I embrace some of the Socialist values regarding the working class. In my opinion, the fall of communism and socialism occurred because these theories were never implemented properly, i.e., the Soviet Union, Cuba, Korea, China have corrupted the true meaning of what socialist philosophers had in mind and they never implemented the idea of a powerful working class, which can happen easily within the confines of Capitalism as well. In fact to me our American Constitution, Declaration of Independence have many socialistic elements in it since our Founding Fathers were very skeptical about the concentration of power and wealth together. For this purpose Taxation was created to excercise a check on this type of corporatist power.
Not pleased with Republicans turning the Republic into an Oligarchy, so pro-business as to forget those who have less. Their obsession with wealth building and their justification of it as "christian" values to me is hypocrasy...since christianity is humility and loving your neighbor...wealth is secondary or a vehicle to help others.
Lincoln: "I see in the near future a crisis approaching ..CORPORATIONS have been ENTHRONED and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavour to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed."
